Of the many choices in the tri-state region for Mexican food, Mi Rancherita is our absolute favorite. First, the service is tops. They are always kind, helpful, and welcoming; but there have been a handful of occasions they have gone above and beyond, which is always surprising and notable because it is rather rare these days. Secondly, the drinks are SO good. They have some really tasty and beautiful handcrafted cocktails with fresh ingredients. Best drinks around imho, including the cucumber margarita, the mojito, and the spicy marg. And the food is always great as well. I think I've tried every other establishment, most many times, but this one remains the best.

Definitely one of my favorite Mexican spots in sewer city. Good drinks. Excellent food. Great atmosphere.

One of a dozen or so Mexican restaurants straddling Sioux City's Deloitte Avenue, Mi Rancherita is one of this strips's best. Arriving shortly after noon on a recent Saturday, I was seated at a small table to the right of the entrance and quickly (and warmly) greeted by my waitress. After handing me the menu and taking my drink order, she soon returned with a large basket of chips, several salsas, marinated carrots, and my large glass of icy horchata. Scanning the menu, I found several Salvadoran breakfast dishes and ordered the Huevos Revueltos with tomatoes, fried plantains, cheese, and beans. I asked if I could also order papusas but, instead, received 3 corn tortillas with my entree. Although the portions of eggs, cheese, and beans were not large (compared to when I've ordered this same dish at other restaurants), the food was good. My overall impressions of Mi Rancherita were positive: most of the restaurant's tables were occupied, its atmosphere lively, the surroundings were clean, service was friendly and efficient, and the meal itself a solid B+. I'd be inclined to try one or two of the other restaurants in this area for the sake of comparison -- but I'd happily return to Mi Rancherita the next time I'm in Sioux City.

Great steaks! Family friendly. Go here with my grandpa all the time. No complaints. The only thing is if it's busy. It might be a wait till you get serviced.

Taste, quality, and service was beyond delicious! This is the real deal. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Found this place close to our hotel, delicious tacos, beans & rice. Homemade corn tortillas, good potions and unbelievably cheap!

I made a stop at this quaint hole-in-wall Mexican joint located in South Sioux City after reading another review that mentioned "pupusas". Mi Rancherita did not disappoint! Their free chips and salsa came with both a red salsa and fresh pico de gallo. I normally pass over pico de gallo but theirs seemed to have palatable, smaller chunks of tomato so I gave it a sample--freshest pico de gallo I've ever had, wow! The red salsa was a runnier kind--not chunky and absent of chili seeds. It wasn't too spicy which I appreciated as my ability to eat super spicy foods has slowly gone out the door as I age. I ordered the "pupusas revueltas" which is a mix of cheese and meat. They didn't have much cheese and the meat seemed a bit "runny". The flavor was decent although not nearly as flavorful as pupusas I've had in Omaha. And for anyone curious, pupusas are a Salvadorean specialty--it just so happens this Mexican joint offers them. Overall I was satisfied with my meal and the service I received. While the pupusas weren't the absolute best, they are still a nice change from the otherwise lackluster culinary scene in Sioux City. Mi Rancherita is worth a try if you're looking to expand a bit outside of standard Mexican cuisine.

They have amazing pozole and birria. Its my best place to get some mexican grub! My boyfriend's family also goes there to get a tray of tacos and they provide everything.
